Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch development projects worth approximately Rs 26,800 crore across Haryana, Chandigarh, and Punjab on July 17, 2026. The projects include India's first Hydrogen train, educational and road infrastructure in Chandigarh, and the inauguration of 75 redeveloped railway stations in Punjab. The larger Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway aims to reduce travel time between Delhi and Katra from 14 hours to 6 hours.
